Self-Help Resources

Good To Know...

In addition to the many well-being resources offered by University Counseling Services and the mental wellness resource guide created by RecWell, other helpful tools worth checking out include:

  • MoodGYM is a low-cost online self-help program that offers Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for depression, anxiety, stress management, and more.
  • Woebot and Wysa are apps that use therapeutic frameworks, such as CBT, to improve self-care, stress management and mental health.  Woebot is a chat-based tool, and Wysa is described as an AI-powered personal coach.
  • Rootd is an app that helps users control their anxiety and face panic attacks head-on.
  • DBT Self Help offers info about Dialectal Behavior Therapy by those who have received DBT.  It is the largest free DBT resource available, offering skill-building modules, manuals, and more.
  • healthtalk.org, originally created by the University of Oxford, provides reliable health information and patient support by sharing people's real life experiences with a wide range of health issues.
