Dental Health

Don't have dental insurance coverage?

  • SmileWell is a new initiative by VCU Dental that offers affordable quality dental care to uninsured students.  For $35 annually, this program provides 100% coverage for preventive care (cleanings and x-rays) and significant discounts on additional services.  This is not an insurance plan.
    • Any VCU student who is uninsured and enrolled in at least 10 credit-hours per semester is eligible for this program.  Students can enroll via this google form, after which they will be contacted by VCU Dentistry for more information and scheduling.
    • Uninsured students taking less than 10 credit-hours per semester can apply for VCU Dental's Student 2 Student Discount Plan, which is another affordable option offered exclusively to college students in Virginia.
  • VCU Dental Care also offers walk-in urgent care services for new patients Monday-Friday.  Click on the link for updated information about eligibility and fees, or call 804-828-9190, option 2.
