VCU Student Health is thrilled to announce our collaboration with VCU Health System (VCUHS) Pharmacy starting May 2024. This partnership marks an exciting new chapter in our commitment to providing comprehensive healthcare services to our students. By joining forces with VCU Pharmacy, Student Health aims to enhance the quality and accessibility of pharmaceutical care to patients.
As a result, our own VCU Student Health Pharmacy will be closing permanently on May 24, 2024. We kindly ask current prescription holders to schedule appointments with their Student Health provider to arrange a smooth transfer of prescriptions. Our team will work diligently to ensure a seamless transition to VCUHS Pharmacy or the patient's pharmacy of choice. Please direct any queries to 804-828-8828.

To transfer a prescription FROM the Student Health Pharmacy to an outside pharmacy, the student should contact the outside pharmacy and give them their name, date of birth, prescription number or drug name, and the Student Health Pharmacy’s phone number (804-828-7734). The outside pharmacy will then contact Student Health to have the prescription(s) transferred.
A wide variety of over-the-counter (OTC) medications are available for purchase at both campus clinics. Prices are very reasonable in an effort to provide affordable services to our students. Students do not have to be patients of Student Health in order to purchase OTC products from our clinics.

Prescription contraceptive methods such as hormonal birth control pills, the NuvaRing, and the Depo Provera injection are available with a prescription from our clinic. Many birth control pills cost $10 per month out-of-pocket through our pharmacy. Students can schedule appointments with our medical providers for in-depth birth control consultations.
